swarm....

One thing that captured my attention when I moved to the Midwest was the occasional sighting of huge swarms of starling birds in the fall. They can, and have, caused me to literally run off the road. They are an awesome sight to behold. A smaller swarm passed through the farm the other day. This is part of the swarm in our tree...And this is part of the swarm and how they move (pardon the filming... it's hard to know when/where they will fly and they are fast, plus the video doesn't transfer here very clearly).


Now, that was a very small swarm and horrid filming. Ha ha. Add a few hundred thousand to the picture and this is what you get. Amazing. (after the teacher award ad)
