Close Call...

You know you live in a small town when your UPS driver knows you by name, and you know him as well. Al is our UPS driver and he's hilarious. We work with his wife at the greenhouses. We go to pizza night with them on Thursdays. Today, they have a lot to be thankful for.

Out here where we live the roads are gravel and the hills are rolling. Often times you are entering a hill blind and never know what's on the other side. It could be people riding horses, another truck, cows on the loose, or in Al's case... a HUGE combine. Al was driving up one side of the hill, the combine up the other, neither knowing each other was there. For the most part, it's OK if people stick to their side of the road. However, combines take up the WHOLE road and UPS trucks are not far behind. They met on the top of the hill head on. Al ducked just in time as the blades literally plowed into the top front off the UPS truck. He was picking glass out of his hair for hours. He's one lucky man.
