
Another mostly rainy day and another day for Shaun to tour two more battlefields. First was Antietam National Battlefield in Maryland. Antietam was a very bloody day. 23,000 soldiers were killed, wounded or missing after only twelve hours of war on September 17, 1862.
I really loved the fences there...

Then we went to Manassas Battlefield in Virginia. I took endless pics of cannons. I was a little obsessed. LOL!

We then drove to Roanoke, Virginia where we stayed the night. Too bad it was dark the 3 hours we drove because we missed the beautiful countryside.
